Baby’s First Photo Shoot
by Totspot Team
Between naps and changing nappies, being a mama can be time consuming and sometimes a bit tiring. But if you ask your own mother, she’ll tell you that motherhood the most beautiful thing in the world, and childhood is as short as it is sweet. You don’t need to take our word for it – you may be reading this as a mommy yourself. You know what we mean.
Babyhood (is that a word? We think so!) lasts a split second compared to childhood, and it’s no wonder a lot of mamas want to document their little guy or girl’s first few weeks with a special newborn photo shoot. Maybe putting baby in a basket or giving him angel wings can seem a little awkward at first but…awwww. Right? There’s really no such thing as too much cute. Did you see the photos above? We rest our case!
These sort of photo shoots are usually done when the baby is just two weeks old so he or she can be easily posed. It takes about four hours between changing, feeding, and shooting, and you should be sure to have the heater turned up to keep baby warm. Some photographers will come with a space heater too.
To further prep you for your own snap session, we picked out some of our favorite photo props and outfits on Totspot right now, which, if you haven’t already, you should definitely download from the App Store. Whether you enlist a professional or just want to dress baby up and photograph him or her yourself, we’re pretty sure you need a pair of crochet bunny ears to do it 😉
